pulseaudio-utils-dbg software package provides PulseAudio command line tools (debugging symbols), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install pulseaudio-utils-dbg
pulseaudio-utils-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the pulseaudio-utils-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pulseaudio-utils-dbg *
You will get with pulseaudio-utils-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
